Build Your Own WaterMate

Build Your Own WaterMate

Create the prefect irrigation system for your setup.

1. Choose your power

Pick a control unit based on what power you have available. If you have mains, you'll get more watering capacity. The control unit includes a temperature sensor and your choice of solar panel or mains charger.

2. Water source

If you are pumping from a tank, pick a pump, otherwise you can just use mains water.

3. Zones

Pick twin valves for the standard two-zone setup.  You’ll also need a valve if you are using mains water. If you need additional zones, you can add up to another 4 with an extra zone controller.

4. Pipes and irrigation parts

We recommend 10m of LDPE pipe per zone of watering. Choose sprayers, drippers, or use your own soaker hose.

5. Extras

Add extra zones, humidity sensor, mounting board (coming soon) to create your perfect irrigation system.

WaterMate : Irrigation for greenhouses and polytunnels

Why choose a solar powered irrigation system?

If you don’t have mains electricity in your greenhouse or polytunnel, you can still have powerful automatic watering. The battery is charged by a small solar panel which should be mounted outside to catch the most sun.

Up to 10 minutes of watering time is possible per day in the summer (5 minutes most at one time) and can deliver up to 120L of water.

Supplied with 3m of cable, extensions available.

Why choose a mains powered irrigation system?

If you have 240V power, we recommend you use the mains version. You will be able to water for longer periods and won’t be limited by darker days in winter.

The power supply comes with 3m of mains flex, and a plug to suit your delivery location (UK, EU or US)
