Tank Transfer Kit

Never be short of water again! This kit is designed to move water from one tank to another; usually your main rainwater collection tank up to a separate tank next to the greenhouse or polytunnel.

Contains:

• Solar powered control unit with built in 2.9Ah battery
• 10W solar panel with mounting bracket
• Float valve
• Filter and pipe clip
• 20m of high quality braided hose

Not included: 20mm hole saw for fixing the float valve to your receiving tank.

Note that this is a single-zone system, with no water valves. Dual zone water valves can be added, which allows you to use one zone for watering the garden, and the second zone for pumping water from one tank to another.

Pump:

High pressure diaphragm model, IP65 rated, suitable for mounting outdoors (though protect it from the weather if you can).
4.5 litres / minute, 40psi.

The pump will pull a head of water from the supply tank up to 4m, and push water to a receiving tank up to 30m away.

Place the pump near the source tank so that it’s pushing water rather than pulling air.

The pump will run for two minutes every half hour, unless the receiving tank is full (the float valve will cause the pump to stop due to the high-pressure cut-out switch). Capable of pumping over 200 litres per day.

Mount the pump in a sheltered position (not outdoors).
